New to toyota's

Hey all I am in the process of getting a 2002 celica gt-s and aside from the intake, headers and exhaust what would you suggest doing to the car? I have owned nothing buy honda's before this car and I must say I test drove this one and fell in love. I don't think I am going to go with the typical big exhaust on this car, I'm thinking more along the lines of cutting the muffler off and going straight pipes. My friend has that on his tibby and it gives it a nice low growl. Any suggestions you would have for me would be appreciated.

The supercharger is in the works as well as the LSD, however I have to start small for now. So first thing is I'm getting an intake, probably injen, then headers. More than likely I am going with DC sport, and then the exhaust. On my friends tibby he has magnaflow tips and I like the rumble of them, I was thinking of doing the same thing. Getting a high flow cat, opening the exhaust up and putting the tips on. Other than that I'm pretty much stuck because of funds. This build is going to have to be piece by piece, check by check. So do you guys think I am heading in the right direction?

Lets start with the fact that you are only getting a HEADER (singular) you would need a V engine to get HEADERS (plural), unless you're going to keep a spare or something

As far as other mods, what are your goals for the car? Show, track, autox, street queen?

Honestly, you don't really need to buy a header. The stock one does plenty good already. If anything, you can just sandblast the stock one or something to get a smoother flow. Save you some money.

A cold air intake will give you some good gains and a nicer freer flowing exhaust system will do you good. Then the only other thing you really need is a Power FC. Thats it. Don't worry about any superchargers or turbos. LSD is a good idea though. But with the smoother flowing stock header, cold air intake, exhaust system and Power FC you should be getting low 14's and 13's. Depending you you're driving skills. A lightened flywheel and street performance clutch would help a lot too. Of course theres more you can do but those are all you really need to get a quick 7th gen gts.

I'm sure you've already thought about suspension so no point in mentioning that.
