Sunroof Control Relay

Hi,

I have an 86 Celica GTS and I am having a problem with the sunroof where it will slide open but not close. I checked the continuity on the switches and they all seem to be working. Also, after removing the headboard, the motor seems to work in both directions when voltage is applied.
I'm guessing the problem is a faulty control relay (unless the limit switches are the problem. I wasn't sure how to test them.)

If I am right about the problem, does anyone know where I can get a sunroof control relay fairly cheap?

All help is appreciated. Thanks!

I recommend you try www.celicatech.com . I've never gone un-helped on that site.

My 88 GTS Toyota manual says (and I don't think there is any difference between our years for the sunroof):

No. 1 limit switch
Continuity between terminals 1 and 4 when ON and no continuity between T 1 and 4 when OFF

No. 2 limit switch
Continuity between 2 and 4 when ON and no continuity between 2 and 4 when OFF

In both switches, terminals are 1-4 counterclockwise starting w/ the terminal in the upper right if you are looking at the switch w/ the connect on top.

Replace any switch not to these specs.

The test instructions for a faulty control relay are longer, but let me know if you want me to copy them from the manual, too.
