Unhappy Serious engine problem

Hi im 18 years old and have just bought myself a celica gt-four st185 japanese import. When i first bought it the engine ran fine, but now that i have run it around a bit i have a serious engine problem. When the engine is cool it runs fine, but as soon as the engine gets hot when i accelerate quickly the engine management light comes on and the car jolts forward as if i have dropped the gear from 5th to 2nd. But when i drive slowly for a minute the engine light goes off, and when i accelerate quickly it does the same thing and continues to do so until i have let the engine completely cool down. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Sounds like fuel cut caused by over boosting. I would take it somewhere they can pull the codes from your ecu just to be safe.

Also might want to check around gt4oc.com and alltrac.net, good sources for info and people that can help.

Could be ignition coil. Check spark plugs and wires first.
Park the car, put it in neutral. Rev slowly to 3000. Rev fast to 3000. Boost shouldn't build up to fuel cut. Most likely you won't be able to do it fast. Try that when engine is cold.

bridge te1 and e1 on thediagnostic plug, open the ignition switch and the check engine lamp will begin to flash, read the number indicated by the lamp flashing and let us know, for example dtc code 21 is indicated by 2 flashes followed by a short pause then 1 flash, then the procedure repeats itself.
