Bet Yall Never Heard Of This Happening From A Misshift(updated)

well i was racing a h22 prelude on the highway 2 days ago going about 115.... slowly catching him high end... than we had to slow down for traffic we were going about 70... i was back in 3rd. I started to floor it again and i was hitting about 6,300 rpm when i was full throtel shifting back into forth, but! i slipped and hit 2nd... first time in history i did this with my new clutch. my engine flew up to at least 12,000 rpm my tires locked up a bit and slid just a tiny bit.... i instantly pushed the clutch back in and rev matched to 5th. I was thinking to my self how in the fuck did i not blow up my motor. me and my friend were looking at each other like thank god.... on the way to my friends house off montforth on 635 i was lisening to my motor the whole way there... everything sounded fine... so i stopped at the stop light on spring vally. When i was taking off my clutch felt a little bit different... so i decided to high rpm shift just to hear the motor and everything. when i pushed in the clutch it made a funny noise, almost like the throwout bearing was locked up.... so we got to my friend apartments and as i was going up the speed bump i put my car back in nuetral my clutch did somthing werid this time, when i pushed in the clutch and started to move it in nuetral it poped out of gear instead of just leaving gear...i was thinking thats kinda werid... so i pushed the clutch in and tried to shift to 1st... but heres were the whole story just gets freaky it didnt go into gear... it was like i wasent even pushing in the clutch... i couldnt put it in any gear.... i pushed so hard to get it in first the rpms dropped..... so i was like wtf.... so we pushed it in the parking space and i was like man i need to get home... i was like wait iam gonna turn the car off and put it in first and try to start it like that....... that will prove to me that the clutch is gone... so thats what i did, i put it in first and tryed to started it. The started managed to move the whole car and crank it on at the same time, which amazed me! as i was costing in 1st i tried the clutch one more time and it worked.... it slipped right into 2nd.... so i stoped the car and tried it with 1st gear too... and it worked... i was like wtf how did this happen. But what i notcied is when ever i shifted it made a werid ratteling noise everytime.... i managed to drive the car for about 1 more hour until the clutch just felt like air and it didnt work at all!!! and it wasnt my slave cyclinder!!! i had to drop my friends off and pick some stuff up so i managed to drive the car for a couple more hours without a clutch!!! just using the starter at every stop light and match the rpms at every shift.... but brb!!!! (5/22/07)ok its been a while but i ment to update this.... because my class was over so i couldnt finish typing. ok anyways let me continue my unfinished story that was commented on i loved the responses by the way. ok so my throwout bearing locked up and destroyed my pressure plate, pretty werid for a miss shift. but anyways i drove the car for 3 hours without a clutch and i used the starter to get it moving from first gear. i was driving down 635 and exited church, this is the part that boggles my mind. i stopped at the stop sign and turned the car off(to use the starter to get it moving in first gear for the people that might post some stupid comment) so i tried to start the car in first, it cranked over and started moveing, i drove about 10 feet and than the rpms started jumping way fast like no load was even on the motor the rpms would jump even faster than in nuetral.(i thought my tranny kicked the dust) but i asked my self why would my rpms be jumping like that when i gave it gas. so i decided to turn the car off and try to start it in nutral just to check somthing, when i cranked on or tryed the crank on the car, i heard the starter spinning out like it was burned up, but when i took a look under the car the flywheel was spinning fast from the starter but the motor wasnt cranking, turns out i ripped the flywheel off the motor and all 6 bolts on the flywheel are broke(how is this possible and how did it last on the highway when i was driving home)

You're an idiot.Street racing at that speed is irresponsible and careless. It would be fine if you crashed as long as you don't take any innocent bystander.I hope you get caught nex time you're street racing and i hope they suspend your licence for a long time.

A buddy of mine broke the throwout bearing on his RX7 (not while racing) and had to double-clutch to get it to work until he could get it fixed. It was an interesting and noisy time!

how did you see the flywheel when you looked under the car? this im real confused about. last time i checked, its in the bell housing of the tranny, and not able to be seen. unless of course you for some reason dont have the metal sheilds on the bottom of it, which could be your source of problem to begin with.

and ps. my post wasnt an idiot post, you're the one posting about street racing. noone has pity for someone that screws their car up when they street race.

I dont believe that you seperated the flywheel from the crankshaft.

The only way to see in is a cover that faces the transmission you cant even see the bolts holding the flywheel
