01 celica brake pad question

I am going to buy my girlfriend a set of pads for the front rotors. I was wondering out of these three companys which one do you think is the best for street driving to light street racing. Axxis, Hawk and EBC? I was going to get her a set of the EBC's, but I thought I should ask first. Thanks for any input.

As with all aftermarket brake pads, you will notice increased noise and decreased durability compared to similar OEM components for the increase in initial bite power. You might want to ask her what she thinks of her stock brakes before jumping in.

They suck, She got some brake pads put on that are the worst things I have ever felt. Its like metal pressing up against her rotors its scary stoping I mean they just suck. Do you think that TRD would make better pads then those others I had mentiond?

Any aftermarket brake pads would be an improvement in stopping, all three of those brands you mentioned are reputable. Hawk is well known for offering good pads for a good price in their HPS pads. EBC pads are good too, offering low dust pads, but I have heard stories with them being hard on rotor, and reducing their life. The TRD pads would be the most expensive of all three but whether it's worth the price premium would be your decision.

You haven't mentioned the specific pads you were looking for. Thats like asking what is better Mercedes or BMW... For example EBC have the greenstuff, yellowstuff and the redstuff each designed for different purposes.

Just stick with the stock pads. For being OEM, they are pretty good and does the job well.
