power steering leak

my car was leaking the other day. let mechanic check it, he said it was due to the head gasket. $280 laters, car is still leaking, now he thinks its the power steering.

Now i'm going to bring it in to him again to fix w/e he needs to fix, but do you guys know of someway to know forsure if something is leaking. the fluid was leaking very slowy, and i don't really notice any drop in level of power steering fluid i have left.

this is getting frustrating, as these little repairs all add up to lots of money. (just changed tires the other day $100+ for balancing + lug nuts +hub rings, $60 for AC coolant)

Mechanic who don't know the different between engine oil and power steering fluid .....
I won't trust him. You don't change headgasket for oil leak. Then $280 for headgasket is cheap. You sure that's what he changed?
Where is it leaking? If its hard to see because of all the crap on it then wash it off first.
