A few questions.

Well I abondoned the hood scoop idea after thinking about the damage rain would cause, so instead I went to home depot bought some PVC pipe, and then I bought a high flow filter and put the biggest cold air intake you will ever meet in it. So my next step is whether to go with a dual exhaust or a cat back, and by dual exhaust I mean from after the cat back.

So which would be more effecient in increasing HP, and which would be quiter assuming I used a silencer for the cat, and ran the dual through a stock muffler. Also how many inches of a pipe qualifies as "Cat back".

AND FINALLY, to be a true dual exhaust, must I start with the headers and run dual through there, or will doing it from the catalytic converter still give me a gain?

Thanks a lot.

Try doing a little browsing about exhuast piping/flow.

#1 Your car with a hood scoop may not be harmful to the engine depending on placement (ie. Subaru WRX)

#2 Why would you want the biggest CAI?

#3 Learn about intake velocity/flow

#4 Learn about catbacks (anything from the catylitic outwards)

#5 Learn about dual exhaust (unspecified dual exhaust)

#6 To run a true dual exhaust you would need to split the exhaust pipings from the header collector, which is pretty hard to do on an I4.
