1995 Celica 1.8 - Starting after long offroad.

As the title says, I have a celica st which has been off the road for about 6 months.
Charged the flat battery overnight and upon trying to start her up I am getting clicks instead of a turnover - fanbelt is moving albeit very slowly and the clicks are accompanied by a high-pitched noise as if something is sticking....

Been a long time since I did any car mechanics (VW beetles many years ago) and am in need of advice on what the fault is so I can get it up and running in order to have a full service done.
As it's pi**ing it down outside I came in straight away after trying to start her up so didn't venture under the bonnet to take a look.

All advice would be appreciated as well as what other things may be out of working order after such a long offroad period.

See if the engine will turn over by hand and the motor is not frozen.

How is the battery, still dead. Try jumping the car. Check the battery cables for corrosion and loose terminals at each end.

check the starter and the wires from the starter to the battery
you'll need to disasemble the starter that would be the high-pitch noise
