Purchasing 2003 Celica GT, few questions.

Hello,

Im in the process of purchasing a 2003 Toyota Celica GT with only 41k mles. I test drove it and noticed a few things.

The car is loud.
Transmission seems slow when shifting(auto, could be just me)
Car drifts to the right when i let go of the wheel, I also have to hold the wheel to the left to keep it going straight (alignment i think)

Other then that the car is fine, acclerates fine, brakes good and best of all the guy is selling it for $8,500.

Can you guys give me input and other things to look out for?

Good choice on the '03 since it has the upgraded black interior and glass moonroof.

How quiet were you expecting the car to be? Its not a luxury car. Test drive other Celica GT and see if the noise level is similar. I think the Celica is quiet but then again I've driven my fair share of loud cars. The problem does sound like an alignment issue but could be more than that. I would have the alignement issue repaired before selling it to you just to be sure. Run carfax, check panels, test drive etc. Basically what you should be looking for when buying used car.
