85 Celica Check engine Code

Hi Folks, I could use some help.

I pulled the codes by jumpering the check engine connector on my 85 Celica, 22RE.

I got 6 flashes of the check engine light followed by 12 flashes.

The 6 and 12 flashes continuously cycle, first 6 and then 12 then it repeats.

Can you tell me how to interpret these flashes or where I can get the info to interpret them.

Thanks a million.

According to my toyota manuals these codes that you are describing are straight count codes for older model toyota's.
The 6-Digit codes indicates: rpm signal or circuit, no rpm, TDC signal.]
But as for code 12 i cannot find anything yet.

The 12 code i believe is the knock sensor. This is pricy if bought new and if cable is damaged, then you need to find where the cable is broken.
