Gen5 help with suspension work on a 1993 GT Liftback

I own a 1993 GT Liftback, and recently I ordered a lot of parts for it. however, I have run into some roadblocks installing the suspension components I bought. In the front, I have been able to get the strut completely out, only to find that they put a serviceable strut with a strut cartridge up front. In the rear, I have been unable to get the connection to the stabilizer bar off. It is a 14 mm nu on a bolt with a hex key, and my dad and I struggled to get the thing off. also, the lower carrier bolt (the lower of the two bolts through the bottom of the strut are difficult on both (more difficult with the rear). If ANYONE has ever done any suspension work on a 5th gen non-Alltrac Celica, I could use some help, mostly because I have been given quotes of $240-280 for just the front suspension, and I'd prefer to do it myself (except for trading out the strut cartridges). Can ANYONE help me? This car has not only confused me, it has confused my dad (who has a 3rd gen Celica, had a few mustangs several years ago, and is a mechanical enginer) and a friend of mine (currently owns an S2000, previously owned a WRX and an 86-87 Supra, all of which he has done a lot of work on).

If you have successfully been able to remove the rear strut, please tell me how!
Thanks in advance!

I have loosened some very rusty, tight bolts with my blue tipped wrench. Heat the sucker up with a blow torch and after it gets nice and hot, touch the nut end of the bolt with a pariffan candle. The heat makes the bolt expand, breaking loose the rust's tight grip, and the wax flows down the threads like the way solder is sucked into a copper pipe joint when heated.. the wax lubricates the bolt, and it shoudl come right out. Sorry can't help you much with your other questions

the rust/corrosion isn't the problem for me, I've used lots of CRC Freeze-Off to help with the rust. it's more the fact that I can't free the rear strut from the stabilizer bar. anyone got suggestions? again, it's a 14 mm nut with a hex key in it, I need help!
