Question Engine Swap?

Howdy,
I am a new poster, so have patience with me please. My daughters' 90 Celica has just suffered a blown engine, a 2.2l GT. I was wondering if anyone out there might know if a 2.0l from an 87 Celica would work in it's place.
Thanks

It will for a 90/91 only.
You will need to swap all the parts from her current engine to the 3SFE [2.0].
You will make less power BTW.

Read this thread, it will give you more info.

USA Thanks

Thanks man,
A whole lot of good information there! My number one concern was if the bolt pattern for the tranny hookup was the same. I figured I'd have to use all of the 2.2 sensors and such on the 2.0, and less power will be good for my girl, she has way too many tickets!
Thanks again for all the good info,
highlandermj
