European Union VVTL-I Controller

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has tried out these VVT-I / VVTL-I controller units for sale, I know for a fact that on some Honda VTEC engines it makes a world of difference but will i have any gains on my Celica 2ZZ-GE engine?
But the main problem is will it affect engine life?

Yeah that. There are many Apexi PFC tuned Celica GTS and Hydra EMS tuned Corolla XRS with lift from 5700 rpm - 8700 rpm (raised rev limit).

Just to warn you, you would need to get professional tuning help since dyno tuning the VVT takes a lot work and expertise and that is where the main power/torque gains come from. Setting lift to 5700 rpm is the easy part.
