Gen5 4age in Gen5 ST

has anyone ever done this?
i mean they are both 4a engines...
im wondering if the swap would be difficult or not...
i have a fully rebuilt 4a-ge silvertop..
but since we lost our shop to the new texas rangers stadium, i have no way of doing this in adequate time...
any info about this would be great...

Go to celicatech.com. You'll find some information there. Its been done plenty of times in a 6th generation celica. Don't know much about the 5th generation. I know someone already did the 4agze swap in the 5th generation st.

i went to the forums and wow...
i saw pictures of everything and what not...
but the wiring was said to be hard...
another question i had that wasnt really answered was:
do the 4age fit right into the 4afe mounts? i hear that the tranny would work from the 4afe...
and i saw a guy by the name of "DOC" i was wondering if he had made a wiring set for me how much would that cost???

Dr Tweak will do the entire wiring conversion for you. He charges somewhere around $350 - $400. You just send him the complete stock wiring harness and the other wiring harness. When hes done it'll be plug and play. Sometimes some wires may need to be extended but thats really it. Look for him on the forum. When you're ready just let him know what the two engines the wiring harnesses are coming from, make of the vehicle and model. He'll take care of the rest.
