I have been given a 1988 Celica All Trac.. My boyfriend says it is a very rare car. He also is upset because I am saying I want to trade it...lol of course he would. I don't have really ever been into Celicas but I really wanted to know how much these cars are worth?
for one youyr an idiotit maybe 20 yrs old but its low mileage 2 owner the car is very straight and is a rare edition so dont come offering 500 bucks because i think you may know what its really worth and your trying to rip soemone off well carry on your way sir and good day
You're boyfriend is partially right. Depending on the specs of the car, he thinks it's rare because the all-trac is AWD(all-wheel-drive) and is turbo charged. They are hard to find in the states. I'm sure if you wanted to get rid of it, it wouldn't be that hard.

I did a search on the Internet. I only find one used one for sell in Southern California and it's one year off. Otherwise I seen other version of Celica for sell. I guess not too many people have the all trac version.
So he probably is telling you the truth that it's a rare model.

Seriously, asking what a car is worth on an online forum without detailed pictures, mileage and information pertaining to the ownership length and records of each previous owner is useless. Rare car as it may be, it doesn't mean anything if it's in crap condition. So just going by your post that it's rare, it would sound like you're the one who is trying to deceive an uninformed buyer with false pretenses.
Take KBB price recommendations with a grain of salt.

Actually, they improve it alot. It's fairly accurate now.

I am not trying to decieve anyone. The car has 107,000 miles on it. It has very little body damage. we have had the car for 4 yearsand it has done us good. I just recently changed out the berrings on the car. Fun fun huh? lol I am not sure about the owner who we bought it from. The guy said he was the only owner of the car. My boyfriend and me have kept every recipet and paper on the car. EVERYTHING. It is a awsome car. Just didnt know what it was worth.
The car is only worth roughly around $3000. A good condition one will be about $3000. Then you just gotta factor in all the problems with the car and the price drops from there. Depending on whats wrong with the car. Rare? Yes, but there are plenty that you find forsale as long as you look in the right places. They're just out of state a lot of the times.
KBB prices do not factor in the rarity of cars, take for example the Supras and ITR. The market value differs. NADA is more accurate than KBB for these uncommon cars. I say its worth $10,000.
While I was searching around, a similar car with more miles will go for $3,500. So it probably worth more than that considering you only have little bit more than 100,000 miles.

Definetly not worth any where close to $10K unless you have a heavily modded engine or have done a lot of work and it is as close to perfect as it can be.
Heavily modded or not. You won't get $10,000 for a late '80s alltrac. That things gotta be race ready to cost around that. Chances of someone buying it for that much is next to no one.
Dealers sell them for $4500 and they can't even get anyone to buy them. $3500 is reasonable. I wouldn't pay that much though. I've seen very good condition alltrac's go for $2500. Even those don't sell that quick. Right around $3000 is what is worth.
