So I happened to get caught in the flash floods with my 90 celica. Im almost positive the engine is siezed up, even though it just happened yesterday. Its hydrolocked. I took the spark plugs off and tried to save it by getting the water out, too late, I guess my pistons expanded. Too bad it wasnt the rally edition with a snorkel or I couldve made it home through that 2ft deep water.
The engine was drinking oil anyways, and the transmission had worn syncronizors through 3rd gear. So i was already considering a 3sgte conversion(dont worry Im not going to ask how) but now ive figured out that the AWD trans that comes with the 3sgte wont exactly fit onto my FWD car with out mods.
So I am stuck without my celica for a few weeks. I miss it already after one day.
And so the question is, what shall I do?
- If Any one wants a 1990 Celica GTS body Id be willing to sell it.
- I could always just go ahead and do the 3sgte swap, which would be awesome, but I am on a budget and that could run near 3 grand+.
- I guess I can always part it, that could make some decent $. any one need parts?
- I hate to think of getting rid of it, but its not looking good.
- any suggestion of which way i should go with this?
