Starting issues
ok, so i am in quite a quandry, my car has no spark whatsoever. the story goes like this. i was driving home from work one day and i stopped to get gas, when i came out from paying my car wouldnt start. after about 15 minutes it finally started, the next day it did the same thing, after it started i went to carquest but left it run this time as i went inside, when i came out it had shut off. it started again after about 15 minutes and i got it home, as i was pulling in my garage it died again. i started off by replacing the coil, then it wouldnt start, no spark, then i asked one of the techs. where i work and he suggested the ignitor, i replaced this and still no spark, then i replaced the whole distributor(assembly and cap and rotor) and still nothing. at this point i was quite angry because i had spent over $300 and i still had no spark, i decided that it may be the ecu, (the person that had it before me had a security system, remote start, and remote locks, and they hacked into the ignition harness, and a few other harnesses, i repaired all the wires and wiring but i thought that somehow this may have shorted out/fried my ecu) and i still have no spark....the fuses and relays are all good, i have power to my coil and ignitor and ecu....i need help and i need it fast, let me know what you think.
my car is a 1992 toyota celica gt 5sp. with a 5sfe engine.
thank you,
ryan
