2000 Celica GT... Barely accelerates?

Any advice would be appreciated!

After the car has been off for a while, say in the morning before work, or at night after work, it will barely accelerate when it's just turned on... It takes about 15-30 seconds to finally start moving normally. Is it just in need of a tune up or could it be an EGR problem? Or am I looking at a more serious problem pertaining to the tranny? The engine light is not on...

Well peeps, thanks in advance.

Why not just let the car warm up?

I understand what you're saying, but this doesn't solve the problem. I shouldn't just ignore it because it's something it's never done in the past. In any case, I'm thinking it's a clogged fuel filter... So we'll see if that takes care of the problem.

You should look into cleaning your MAFS (Mass Air Flow Sensor) too.

Seafoaming will also help. Let us know what you did and how it turned out.

Definitely try cleaning the MAFS. When was the last time you changed spark plugs? How many miles are on the car?
