There are so many cues to find out what engine you have (GTS comes with 2ZZ-GE):

1 - If you have 6 speed transmission, you have 2ZZ-GE with 180 HP

2 - If your engine cover says VVTL-i (keyword is 'L'), you have 2ZZ-GE

3 - If your redline is at 7800 rpm, you have 2ZZ-GE

You need to push the car above 6000 rpm up to 8400 rpm to get most of the power. You will feel a jerk after 6000 rpm and car will start pulling harder and sound a lot more aggressive (more like a sports bike).
