turbo for 86 celica gts?

is it possible to put in a ct26 turbo onto a stock 86 celica engine 3sge i think? Or was the ct26 only made for alltracs 88'+ supras, etc.

If not, is there any alternatives?

Thanks.

It probably requires a lot of work then? custom fittings etc?

Or is it pretty easy to put on the ct26 turbo to the 3s-ge engine?

are there any other turbos beside the ct26?

4th Generation

From what I've read it's been done, but none have lasted too long.

First thing though. You will probably need a different transmission or modify your current transmission by flipping the starter to the otherside. It sits right under the exhaust manifold so that'll get in the way. You can make any turbo fit in your car. CT26 turbos are pretty cheap though and parts are easier to find for building your own turbo kit. Dependability will depend on proper tuning and how you drive. In the end a 3sgte swap will always be the best choice if you want turbo.
