2000 Celica.. Need some help.

I have a 2000 Celica GT and the car runs like its new. I dont know much about cars so I need some help. Just recently I have been having trouble starting the car. When I turn the key it sounds like the car is trying to turn over. To start the car I have to hold the key down and wait a few seconds for it to start. When it does start there are no problems, the car runs fine and if I were to turn it off right after I get it started the car will start up with no problem. Its only after I leave it off for anything over 20 mins that it has troublem starting. I dont want this problem getting worse. What can I do?

Could be the fuel pressure is bleeding down at shut off. How does the car start after sitting over night?

Start with a battery test.

Thanks for the reply. When it sits over night, it has a troubled time turning over. I have thought about the fuel pressure. Any suggestions for how to check that? I know it sounds bad but the only things I know about a car are how to change the oil and the basics. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
