1977 celica troubles

there are 2 valves coming from the cylinder head (dont know what they are called) the one near the rear of the engine has a hose going to the PCV valve on the carburetor, the other has a little air filter on it. The previous owner put in a weber carb and did something funky with it. What happens is when the engine is on, it spits oil out of the air filter that is attached to the valve in the front of the cylinder head. Ive tried replacing the little filter that is attached and that did not help, now i need to know what to do, i was thinking that i should splice the hose that the other valve connects to and join another hose to it to complete the pressure circuit, will this work? if not any other options?

The PCV valve is the plastic piece in the valve cover that has a hose running from it to the base of the carb. The other line supplies filtered air to the crank case, originally from the air cleaner housing, there's no other vacuum circuitry involved. Air gets sucked in the front hole and the crankcase vapour gets sucked into the intake manifold between the carb and the valves through the PCV valve.

Is your PCV valve working properly? If it is, there shouldn't be any oil spitting out of the front hole.
