Gen6 Celica Matrix AWD hybrid?

Hey everyone,

I'm always seeing people who want all-trac but not to actually buy an all-trac celica. They want to do a conversion or custom or some other thing. Understandable, all-tracs are great. Who doesn't like turbo-charged all wheel drive? What I was wondering was, would the AWD set up in the Matrix be able to be transferred into a 00-07 celica? I know it's not the same (at all) but hey, it's an idea. I could be entirely wrong about this. Don't be harsh, just say what you think.
Peace

i wouldn't think so because they are different platforms. If you have money though, it would be doable. anything can be achieved with money. BTW, welcome to TN

No, it won't work. The AWD system on the matrix won't hold much power, anyway. I'd be scared to bolt it up to a 2zz.

Won't hold much power???? Eplain. I think if you could get the 2zz to even bolt up I dought it'd be too much power. That's like a girl too pretty, too much money, or too much fun.

Anyway, I think the author of this thread wants to put a celica body on a matrix frame and drive train.

No, the OT wants to put the Matrix's AWD system into the Celica so it can have AWD.

To the OT, how much money do you have to spend on this project? It won't be a direct bolt on ordeal.

I think the RAV4 might be a better option actually.
