You may have a broken spring in the clutch slave cylinder as well. The fluid to your clutch master cylinder may be very low or empty as well, if empty fill to correct level and bleed the clutch fluid by loosening the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder. You will gravity bleed first, meaning just loosen it and make sure the resivoir is full. Let it drip for about 10 minutes, tighten it and try using the clutch. If the pedal doesnt improve you can bleed it like you would brakes. Have a friend pump the clutch pedal 3-5 times (You said it wouldnt come back up well have the friend bring the pedal back up manually.) Then have them hold it down, at this point you will open the bleeder screw observe to see if any air escapes. After all air escapes, if any repeat this process as much as it takes to get good pedal. (make sure the resivoir for the fluid is full at
all times) If the Clutch slave cylinder is broken this will not work, that will have to be replaced first. if neither fo these things work next step is to replace the master cylinder, more than likely unless you are a skilled mechanic I would take it to a shop. (requires disassembling the dashboard, as it rests on the firewall.) That should just about cover it, do not hesitate to ask if you have anymore questions.
