Celica issues - Turbo & ABS light

Hi, I've got a 92 Celica AWD Turbo and having some issues I was wondering if you could help out. This is my first Turbo so please take it easy and explain in idiot terms for me

My turbo only goes up partially past 0... I live in Italy and took it to an Italian mechanic but since Italian's don't have turbo's, etc he had no idea why it wasn't working -- all he could say was 'turbo shot.' *shrugs* I noticed on the air lines though there was one good size crack but not sure if it would keep the turbo down to 0? Where should I start? I'm an electrician and can shoot the hell out of wires, etc if just pointed in the right direction of where to start


In addition my ABS system is also having some issues... When I start the car the ABS light stays off but once I start driving and hitting the breaks then the ABS light comes on and stays on... While I have to admit I havn't started looking anywhere (not even the fuse, etc) I'm a bit confused on just WHERE to start.... If it was the fuse then the light would be on as soon as I started the car right? instead of only after I start driving? I guess I need to take it in for a code reading *shrugs*

Please if you can atleast advise on the Turbo -- looking at the engine there just seem's to be soooo much involved I have no idea where to start
