I just bought an all trac what is the first mod to do?...I was originally just going to swap in a 3sgte into a non all trac, but i looked at all the money to fix up the engine i had, i just decided to buy an all trac
Nice buy. I've got a '90 Celica GT-S with a swapped 3sgte. Sadly, I'm not quite amused with it has I thought I'd be. I'd be more satisfied with an alltrac.

I agree with the rest here, tune up, oil change, any needed maintenance, to ensure it will last. Once you are done with all of these things my first mod to any turbo car is to install a downpipe. Nothing extravagant, just something to help her breathe and erk another pound or so out of the turbo, spool time will also be greatly reduced. Overall, one of the greatest all around modifications you can do, it will not hurt drivibility and not put any undue stress on the internals. Let me know if I can be of any more help.

downpipe, front mount intercooler with blow off valve on piping and a manual boost controller will keep you happy for a while. I would also recommend headers at the same time as the downpipe. Blitz has a badass set for 500 bucks
Thanks all this stuff is gonn help alot. I also plan to fit a new Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust with FMIC and the BOV. Is there anything else like in the area of braking and suspension?

If you are going to use this car as a daily driver I wouldnt change anything in the suspension. At the most maybe some stabilizer bars. In the area of braking you should be good but maybe a light upgrade to some ceramic pads if not already equiped. Mind you, ceramics in some cases are a little louder but do not tend to cause as much brake fade under severe stops.

Hay guys its been a long time. Since the 5sfte have cracked all 4 pistons, i have buy a 2nd gen 3sgte to go into my 1992 toyota celica gt. My question is does the 3sgte clutch work with the 5sfe transmission? In the rush to get the engine in i just bolted the 5sfe transmission on to the 3sgte using the 3sgte clutch and the 3sgte pressure plate. I then got worried so before i continue i want to make sure i done it correctly.....
If I had it all to do again, I would have started with suspension mods, and then moved to power. I would start with a boost gauge and a recirculated BOV as well as a turbo timer so your stuff will last longer. Then a boost controller up to like 12psi. You'll be able to run safely with that much boost, and this will give you the most power gains for the money ($75 for a decent MBC). Then looks at some stuff to lower your intake temps as that wngine bay gets nice and warm, straight intake FMIC, or WTA IC. Then I would do a down pipe and exhaust. But that's just me.
