92 celica gt

i have a 1992 toyota celica gt and i wana turbo it and i dont know one thing about toyotas its my first one i used to drive rx-7s all day everyday but now i got this i was thinking about putting a mr2 turbo engine in it but idk i dont wana spend time or money doing that is it possible to just throw a turbo on the 2.2 engine?

I heard from some others guys on another Celica Forum website that putting a turbo on the 2.2 5SFE isnt good for the engine. They said something about the valves and stuff. They recommended swapping for an All-Trac engine.

Yup ..... turbo can be done to the 2.2l 5sfe, but swapping in the already turbo'ed 3sgte (from AllTrac Celi or MR2 turbo) is a more reliable build. Mucho info on this can be found at celicatech.com

Just have to be easy on boost psi to keep teh bottom end from leting loose! The Turbo engine has a MUCH beefer bottom end and forged internals!
