5sfe 1990 5 speed bucking boging

just bought this car has no codes if you jump on it it runs fine but regular crusing it just bogs bucks and pop's like it's too lean why I say that is when it's running in the cold start injector it runs perfect plugs, wires new fuel filter 1 yr old , spark hot the only thing I noticed is when the second contact on the tps makes that's when the car takes off and run's strong .aprox 2/3 throttle.

HELP this is starting to really bug me

You could have a bad injector or two or all. Have you checked the entire ignition yourself (plugs, wires, cap and rotor)? Popping would usually have something to do with spark.

Question bucking boging

Seems to have to do with the position of the throttle . soon as I hit about 2/3 pedal down the car pulls hard no buck or bog I'm thinking along the lines of a bad tps or map although I checked the tps with a ohm meter seems ok although it's missing the cover the switch has gold plated contacts. so theweather should not bother it too much.

Also going crazy trying to find the temp senser for the temp gauge it's not the two on the thermostat housing.

I remember this problem. I had a 1991 GT that had the same problem and ended up replacing TPS, EGR Valve, and a whole host of other parts. Try a new Vacumn Sensor. It's up on the firewall inbetween the strut bars. Toyota charges $80 I think... Just go to a junk yard and rip one off. A vacumn sensor off a Camry with a 5sfe will work too, some modification will be needed to the bracket. Get one off a Celli if you can. Hope this helps.

Finally found gauge temp sensor

It's on the pipe coming out of the head on drivers side mine was facing down and slightly back the radiator hose was blocking the view $9 later my gauge now goes above half if my fan switch sticks.

PS waiting for another tps and map from ebay seller

Changed The Map And Tps

still have same problem but to a lesser degree. played around with the tps position , it makes it better or worse but doesn't cure it. only time the car runs rite is on the cold start injector or with the pedal to the metal ?????

now i'm pissed
