V6 Celica?

one of my friends was talking about he MR2 and how you can put a v6 3ZV-FE in it. So i'm wondering...

since the MR2 had a 3S in it and so does the Celica(90-93) would the 3VZ-FE fit? I just think that would be kinda cool. A V6 Celica All-Trac or GT-4 for those lucky enough to have it. Just my thoughts.

Yeah it will fit, little bit of a trick to get it in the bay I suppose but there is a 1mz-fe swapped Celica in the US right now, pulleys come very close to the side of the bay but it fits fine with a manual transmission.

I wouldn't waste my time with the 3VZ-FE. I had that engine in my old truck.. reliable, but very slow. Only 150hp if I remember correctly.

talk to the Gen 3 camry guys .... the 3VZ-FE is definitely a good engine, although some will argue that the 1MZ-FE will be more worth your time if youre really interested

^^The 3VZ-FE is not the same as the 3V-ZE. But you're right about the 3vze being a slowpoke.

What could possibly be the advantage of this engine over the 3S-GTE?

The 3VZFE in the Camry/ES300's had 185hp/200lb-ft if I remember right. Not bad in a light little car like that. I personally would rather do a 3SGTE swap if you're going for high horsepower, but if you just want a quick daily driver I'de do a V6.
