My A/C is underwater!

Well, not really, but it sounds like I have water bubbling in the dash! (even when the AC is off) My first thought was the drain tube was blocked. So I hooked a shop vac to it fired up the AC and it seemed to have flow. A little water came out, but only a few drops.

At the same time it smells really musty. I think I can get some fungicide for the intake to fix this, but I have a feeling the problem is bigger than that.

Any A/C pro's out there???

Thanks in advance
D

The water bubbling in the dash sound is typically air trapped in the heater core. Bleeding out the coolant sytem should take care of that. The musty smell is probably the AC.

I guess I just assumed the smell and the sound were related.
Now.....
How would one go about bleeding the coolant system??
(if the explanation is too long, just say so & I will look it up)
Thanks for the tip!
D

(EDIT: I found a "how to" for bleeding the coolant system on line, but any tips would be appreciated)

Or engine overheating. Check coolant level and fill it up. With engine running, turn control from hot to cold fast a few times. With proper coolant level, the system will breed air out in a few days. Do the hot to cold a few time to speed it up.

The engine temp is fine, just the bubbling sound from the dash. The method I read about involved suspending the reservoir, releasing the bleed valve, adding fluid while running, etc. You method sounds easy

Scarborough Ontario? Hows the weather? No wild fires i bet! (I lived in Hamilton for a year)

Thanks Again,
