Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some helpful advice.
My 92 Toyota Celica GT was just in a bad accident and I did not have the insurence coverage to help me out so I am looking for a way to possibly get something for it! It was hit in the drivers side door damaging the door as well as about 5 inches behind the door. The engine has 230,000 miles but still runs very strong. I wouldn't care about just getting rid of the car for nothing, BUT it has 4 brand new tires along with 4 brand new struts and springs...
I guess my reason for writing to this forum is becasue I didn't know if this would be something anyone is interested in for parts or just have for a toy. Also if anyone wants anything off of it I would be willing to take it off and have it shipped.
A junk yard will give me $200 for the car but with the tires and struts I JUST put over $400 in it literally a week before the accident.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know.
sell the parts off the car, but trade for the buyer's stock parts if you have to. Ie, trade the wheels/tires for sombody else's wheels/tires plus cash.
best advise:
Part out your car. Rent a digital camera, and come and register at www.celica.net
They all have a love for 5th gen celica. If you have system 10 in your car, i think you could easily get $100 for just that. Then another few bucks here and there....PART out your car and post in the 5th gen forums over there...and you'll be suprised with the feedback. After the parting has ceased...then take the car to the junk yard and make 50 dollars from them! Good luck...and sorry to hear about your car!
Let me know if you decide to part out your car. I got 91 celica and my 4-way emergency lights switch just died. I am willing to buy yours if it works...
Hello,
First off I'm sorry to hear about ur accident. Hope ur doing ok.
I just wanted to know how many people would be interested in parts, that live in The GTA. Becuse I don't want the whole car just parts, but I wouldn't mind splitting the price 3 or 4 ways for the whole car with ppl on this board that are from toronto. or that are willing to travel to toronto, for parts. I have a garage space if need be to store the car in.

Glad you're ok, does the car still work?
What seem to be the main problem with the car now?
One of my buddy is planning to have a Celica as a project car, so he should be interested in this WHOLE car.
I need to find out the damage first, so we'll know what to fix.
Thanks!
