2003 GTS Celica

What is the potential in one of these cars?

Can it handle 600 HP easily???

Tell you what the car can handle with re enforcments but the engine UM NO! Go get you a 3SGTE conversion and then ya you will be able to handle it! The GT-S is slack I ran one with my 4th gen with a mesley 3SFE (115 stock) with a K&N filter and straight exhaust. I whipped it by at least 5 cars and I didnt get thru 3rd gear. You know he had over 200hp and the car comes with 180 stock so you know he had a AEM cold air intake, cat back exhaust, plugs and wires, MSD ignition, and ECU Upgrade. So from my experiences I would rather have a older model celica. But I know they are making a supercharger for it on stock boost im sure it will add around 80-90 HP but who knows that engine in it "MIGHT" get 600hp but doubtful its alot of money to get a 3SGTE to 600hp but its done and they have seen 800hp numbers but once u get that much you might wanna like I said re enforce the front end or One your not going to have Traction and you prolly will twist the frame

The supercharger that they are making for these cars is NOT for the GT-S, therefore these cars look great but don't have the potential of older celica's w/ 3S/5S blocks. There are a few running around w/ turbo kits on them, but they aren't outrageously fast.

Blitz makes an S/C for the 2ZZ, but its like 12G and it hardly seems worth it.

yea, 300 horse out of a 2zz is a FAR FAR stretch... let alone 600
however, a celica GT with the 1zz... can pump quite a bit out of it, a couple 400 horse turbo matrix's out there... if you want speed out of that car, i'd recommend a gt, not a gt-s...
