1998 Celica GT Aftermarket Radio probs

Ok I got a 1998 Toyota Celica GT liftback. I am trying to put an aftermarket radio in and i am having some problems. When i put it on acc nothing happens and I can't get the stereo to turn on or anything. When I unplug it and plug it back in it tries to spin a cd but nothing turns on on the deck. If i click the reset button on my deck (Kenwood KDC-316S) it also tries to spin a cd and sometimes it blinks the deck on and then shuts right off. I think i have something with the ACC wire messed up... I think it's the grey wire on the factory harness to my red wire on my aftermarket deck. I also have a few wires the don't have anywhere to go from the factory harness. Can anyone help me?

My best guess is that you don't have a solid connection somewhere. I would go back through all your connections and make sure you've got a good connection. And it's normal to have a few wires that don't go anywhere. They are probably just different accessory wires (ex. Power Ant)
