87 Celica GT won't start

She just died on me the other day, was running good then stopped at work and she turns over but won't fire. I pulled the codes and got a intake temp sensor code. Would this cause it not to start?

Timing is good- 10 degrees past TDC
Fuel through the filter
Good Spark
Code 2-4 intake air sensor
All fuses are good
New EFI Relay
New Igniter
New Battery
Good Plugs
Good Wires
Check Fuel Pump

I am stumped, will the air temp sensor cause it not to start? I know it will cause problems when it is running but I an getting nothing right now.

Actually your code is for the air intake temp sensor. Check to make sure the you've got a good connection. Also look at your intake hose running from air filter box to intake. Make sure there aren't any splits it your hose(Not sure if this could still set off that code but thought it would be a good thing to look at just in case) if there are any splits you can just duct tape it until you can fix it. If non of the above help then get yourself a new air temp sensor and hopefully that works for ya. Good Luck!

Just for fun, have you checked the timing belt?

Timing

I have checked the belt visually as well as with a light. I have ordered a new MAF. I will see if this would cause it to not fire. In addition I am going to see if I have good spark on all four cylinders or not.

I was curious to know if you've made any headway. I have the same problem but I have two code errors (14 and 24) airflow meter and intake temp sensor. I haven't had a chance to order new parts to try. It also says the ECU is a possibility on both codes, but it's a last resort and very rare. Does yours not start at all? Mine runs for a few mins then stalls, and will not restart unless it sits for a while (15-20mins) then stalls again.

Sounds like the Classic 4th Gen Starter Problem. Very common for the 86-89 Celicas but fortunately for us, very fixable. Even if this turns out to not be your problem, this is good for reference:
