92 celica won't fire

Hi every one

I feel great to be part of the toyota family****

I curent have couple 83 and 85 supra which I'm doing 1jz swap now. Will tell the story later.

I have a 92 celica conv. 5sfe 2.2 engine. I could not get it to start. I replace new spark plugs, cap, rotor, and re-man distributor. I seem like I still don't have any spark coming through. When I tried to start the engine I smell gas and sound like the fuel pump is kicking. Please help me to get it start if you have experience this kind of problem.

Thanks

Download the Gen_3 Camry ignition service data from the link below. It has a very good diagnostics section. The 4 cylinder is the same as yours.

Make sure your actually getting spark by taking the wires out and put a plug in it.

Then ground the threads and turn it over.

Other than that, make sure your ignition coil is good.

And that the battery is not discharged to the point of death... slower RPMs..

And make sure that you gapped the plugs properly...
