Pistons are blown huh? Well, now is a perfect chance to do a 5sge build. Find yourself a good '92+ 5sfe block to replace that 3sge block.

Need an engine for it?

Just in case you decided to stay with the 3SGE, I have one that came out of an '86 GTS that has absolutely 0 miles since a rebuild! I had purchased an '86 that wasn't running as well, but as I was getting the engine rebuilt, somebody stole the car body from behind the garage that was building the engine.

Anyway, the engine was rebuilt from the block up with all news parts. I live in East, Tennessee near Knoxville. Let me know if interested, and we can go from there. I was actually thinking about finding another GTS body to put the engine into, and I am still considering that. Thanks.

I'll get the details at home this evening. I had the pistons, rings, lifters, etc replaced by a garage. I'm not that much of an expert to tell you sizes, etc, but I should be able to put my hands on the paperwork this evening.

As for asking price, if I could get $750 plus shipping, I would let it go.

I'll get back in touch probably tomorrow. Son has a basketball game tonight.

Thanks.

Got home kinda late last night and did not get a chance to run the paperwork down. The car was actually an '88 GTS, not an "86 as I said earlier. I will get back to you on the details.

I can't put my hands on the receipts for the engine rebuild. I know the parts were in boxes from a manufacturer called Federal Mogul engine products. Ther timing belt was not put on yet, so it is still in its box. Again I don't know where the other receipts are. I know the engine block was bored, but I can't recall the dimensions. I wish I could tell you more. I find this makes it difficult to get the engine sold as well. I might just hang on to the engoe and find a GTS to put the engine into myself.
