87 celica, cold start

When cold and hasn't been started for a while ( 5 hours and up). I have to hold the ignition to start for at least ten seconds before it starts to crank and runs. What could the problem be? I'm guessing starter contacts...any other ideas?

If fuel injected could be the fuel pressure is bleeding down when the car sits.

Try the battery first; it could be weak; then starter.
