Gen5 '91 celica axle shafts

I have a Toyota celica '91, 1.6i ST.
The axle shafts aren't in a good condition and I need to know if I can replace them with axle shafts from a newer model (I'm planing to buy used ones).

Thanks.

You can use any axle shafts from another 90-93 ST Celica.

That being said, I wouldn't buy used ones. The auto parts stores can replace axles for you for probably less than $100 as long as you give them your core in exchange. That way you have something newer and most likely with a warranty.

If you got a pep boys near by GO! pick up either a pry bar or rent a slide-hammer from the parts counter. Go back home and remove the half shafts. take them back and trade them in. I know for a fact that the driver side half shaft is only like 50.00 becase I have replaced it twice. lol. The passenger side one should be maybe like 10.00 more since it is a little longer. don't get used ones. I replaced wheel bearings and then ended up having to buy a used steering knuckle because the only time I let anyone else work on my car he F***ed it up. Anyway, a few weeks after I bought the used knuckle, I had to replace the wheel bearing again. Moral is don't use used parts if you can help it.

I live in Canary Islands, and all the parts that I've found, here, are very expensive. I think they have an agree with Toyota Japan because all the parts came from there.
If anibody can post some links with toyota parts virtual shop, to see if I can buy them online, and the prices, will be very helpful.

Thanks for advices
