1995 Celica Heater Core Tubes

I recently purchased a 95 Celica GT with a leaky heater core. After ripping out most of the stuff under the dash, it turns out that the heater core is okay, and the two metal (brass?) tubes that attach to the tubes on the heater core are corroded and leaking. The dealer will only sell the entire heater core assembly (the white plastic box, core, and attached items) for $600.00 bucks! Do any of you know where I can get the two tubes that attach to the tubes on the heater core? Thanks!

Haven't heard of being able to replace the tubes (unless you're very confident in your brazing abilities) but you should be able to buy a replacement heater core at any auto parts store. Rockauto.com has it for just under $200. (What is it-goldplated????)
