Celica AFM Problem

I was messing with my intake earlier on my '87 Celica GT with the 3sfe engine. I unscrewed the connector that goes into the metal part of the intake box, which is apparently the AFM. Normally on most cars when you try something like that the AFM just pops out of the intake, but instead a whole bunch of it's guts (electrical circuits etc...) came out, I had no way of knowing this was going to happen. So apparently I've broken the AFM. What I'm wondering is if anyone thinks that I could remove the silicone and the rubber piece that covers these electrical components on top of the intake and try to solder them back together. I cannot afford a new AFM, and have only this car to get back and forth to work.

Hit up a junkyard and grab a new one for around $40. Pretty much any Toyota AFM will work, in fact TRDdragoon on this board is parting out his AE92 GTS and will probably sell you his. Its a pretty sensitive piece, most people that crack it open to make an adjustment end up regretting it, so trying to solder its guts back probably won't work. But I guess its worth a shot, just take a sharp utility knife and cut along the black rubber piece on top and it'll come off.
