Leaves falling inside Cowl near Wipers

Hello. Some drivers don't care if leaves or debris from trees falls into the "Cowl Top Ventilator Louver" area near the windshield wipers. Others are always picking out the smallest leaves.

My question is, where does the debris go? Are there channels that move the water and debris out? Of all the drainage holes, what is the smalles size?

There are water paths but nothing to get rid of leafs. If you open the hood and look windshield and imagine it is raining now follow the path down the window and into the top plastic and down

You can unbolt the trim piece and take off those mesh grills to clean it out.
