Vacuum Hose 91 Celica GTS

Anyone know where if a hose is suppose to be connected to this in red? It's sucking air in strong from the bottom. Could be the reason I get bad gas mileage. Thanks for your help.

if it's sucking, or blowing air, then yes something is supposed to be there.. I had a 91 GTS but my memory fails me as to where that particular vacuum line goes, but check if theres a hose dangling somewhere, or find another spot/part that seems to have a hose end missing as well...

Yes it does have cruise control. Can you send me a pic? It sucks air in though. I wonder what the cruise control would use that for?

I will send you a picture tomorrow my Celica is at work till spring, cruse control on older cars uses Engine intake manifold vacuum to pull the rubber diaphram to hold the cable in position. you will see in the picture.

Thanks for the assist. Maybe that's why my cruise won't work. It lights up, but won't set.

Its the AC idle up valve. The should be a bigger hose connect to front of manifold before throttle body. Probably the open connection on your SRI.
