Thumbs up

I have a better way.

I did this to my 87 mitsu starion.

got to your fuse box.

find the fuse for the pop-ups

(mine was labeled popup lol)

replace the fuse with a fuse and a switch
a momentary switch (radioshack) works well

with a switch in place you will have to press it for the lights to move.
simply turn on your headlights
and press the switch till they are where you want them!

Although I rarely do it (my 11 yr old thinks it's cool ) I do it by just using the headlight switch on my 92 GT vert. Granted, there will be slight added wear and tear to the switch /motors, but, if done only occasionally, and if you develope a good "feel" in the timing of doing it, it can be done in a very short amount of time/attempts with not too much abuse to the switch . Turn your lights on, let them come all the way up. Turn them completely off, and at the INSTANT you hear them start to lower (try to anticipate this point in time) QUICKLY turn them full on, and the lights will stop partially lowered. Do this a time or two more, and you can get them quite low, with practice. I can lower my lights until they appear completely closed, yet still remain on, so I can have foglights on in dreary daytime weather w/o having the ugly pop-ups sticking up. Ymmv.

if all else fails go straight to the motor harness.

and make the grounds for the pop-ups switchable

do it right with solder and tape and through the firewall though..
I'd for you to rice it up!
