1991 Celica GT with 3S-GTE, Trans question

I have a 1991 Celica GT that has been converted to use a JDM Generation 3 3S-GTE (turbo) engine. It's stock, going to stay that way, but eventually I'll need to replace my transmission. Right now it's using whatever transmission originally came with the car, the guy that converted it said that it "fit oddly". So, what kind of transmission would be a good replacement, that will connect to the 3S-GTE as a sort of drop-in replacement, or minimal work replacement. I'm only interested in 5 or 6 speed transmissions, as my current transmission is 5 speed and I'm loving it even though it's feeling its age.

You need to get the transmission form the MR2 Turbo or either the V6 camry. Either transmission would require some modifications but will handle the power. The transmission which your using currently is from the 5S-FE engine (sorry don't have the trans code at the moment). That trans work with the 3S-GTE but as to how long is a question.
