Names james; when u give your motor pedal to the metal it almost floods the motor with to much fuel. but when u give it gas slowly it takes only what it needs, besids when i draged race in the past i was alway tought to give it half gas pedal then slowly work to full as u go threw the gears cuz it hurts the motor when u just slam your foot threw the floor board when u wanna go faster so keep that in mine. just get used to your motor and leave the line with half gas pedal next time let the rpms gitch up to ya then start slowly giving it more gass. hope that helps.

If not that it would be a simple plug/wire problem. Mine did that when I had oil in the spark plug tubes due to a leaking valve cover.

well i do have a cam seal leak went to change the distributor cap and it was full of oil. but thanks for advice, i have ordered a fuel filter and a cam seal so we'll see if that helps, its a 90 with only 162,000km and i dont think too much care was put into the engine by the previous owner but on the bright side the body is super mint and worth fixing the engine over.

it could possibly be your EGR valve. It stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve, and what it does is recirculates a small portion of your exhaust back into your cylinders to prevent gas detonation. An EGR valve that isn't closing causes your fuel to not burn properly, causing hesitation when you hammer the gas. I may be wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to check the valve. It's located by your throttle body, just have someone rev your car while you look to see if it opens or not. Hope this helps.

-EDIT- The EGR valve stays closed when the motor is cold or at idle. I didn't want to cause confusion.
