2001 Celica GT performance upgrade

Hi , everyone. I just bought a 2001 Celica GT. Now I have $2500 budget for upgrade the car. Because I want to practice for car control in the weekend. Like Drifting or sth.
My plan is : 1, rebuilt TEIN Super Street Coilover kit first.
2, change ACT clutch kit HDSS
And maybe change other parts if i got money in the future...
Is this a wisely investment for car control performance upgrading?
Thank you for you advices!

Well if you like drifting you bought the wrong car to do it in. Your best option for drifting is a rear-wheel drive car. Plus, I have no idea what "sth" means. Could you please elaborate?

Now if you are talking about road racing, then the recommend upgrades in addition to what you have posted above:

Rear sway bar
Tires (16" rims&tires is the biggest I would go. My opinion)
Weight reduction
Drop-in filter/CAI

I hope that helps and give you a foundation to build off of.

Eric.

I would suggest you save your money on the clutch at this point, unless the one it came with is worn down.

If you do need to replace the clutch, get a lightweight flywheel and have it installed at the same time.

You're not going to be able to drift in a FWD car by the way.
