jeez, only 108,000 and transmission and/or clutch problems! bizarre :/
do you drive it hard?

probably transmission or maybe even cv/input bearings or something else and not clutch as you'd hear noises with the clutch pedal pushed in if it was pilot bearing

first sign of any problem with my transmission, i'd change the tranny fluid asap! (just personal thing, if piece of metal broke loose in tranny, good idea to get it flushed out as to not cause any addition damage before having to rebuild!)

well i wouldn't say i drive it hard..lol..but i've been told i got a heavy foot..ROFL!.yea i was thinking about doing the trans flush but i kinda got skeptic due to reading on this on the forums about if i do flush it that it can make it worse due to the losen parts in the fluid the trans. now depend on it to cause friction..but yea i do..no sounds when i press in the clutch at all..it's when i switch from gear to gear i hear this sandy grinding noise..which i took it into the shop and both say it's the trans. but my dad says it's the clutch..so i'm thinking about doing both and killing it completely to avoid being disappointed if it was the other..what should i use to upgrade the tranny part or clutch...im sorry for the noob questions..just new into the ugprade thing since it's my 1st owned car

Umm.. i think your either COMPLETELY missing the shift, or your clutch is bad... my SUV only grinds when my RPMS arent up enough to shift, and my bros car grinds because he doesnt know how to shift properly which throws out the flywheel...
