There's one dude who did try this on his st-182 (celica ST) model. He swapped out his 1mz into it. Overall, he did it to be different. If you want more power..i'd say use the search button and research these two keywords:
1. imz celica swap (for the v6 swap option)
2. 3sgte swap celica (for the other option i mentioned)

Hi guys, this is my first post here so I'm gonna be gentle today. he he he

You got to be more specific about what you've got and what you want to do.
Toyota changed engines in their cars depending on where they were going to be sold (a.k.a. Markets).

For instance:
ST182:
For the USDM: Badged as a GT. Engine: 5S-FE

For the JDM and Euro markets: Badged GT-i 16. Engine: 2nd Generation 3S-GE

Here where I live we got a no badged version of the ST202 (6th Gen) wich has a 3S-FE engine.

See what I mean....?
