Question Door locks?

We just puchased a 1990 Toyota Celica GT from a Lien sale the keys that came with it are cut keys. We are having trouble with the door locks. The drivers door will unlock when you use the key in the passenger side as well as the door lock buttons. But the key will not unlock the drivers side door from the outside.

Do you think the wiring info that your offering would help me sort out what is wrong with the door locks? or does any one reading this have a suggestion about what I need to do, I am kind of clueless, sorry. The car doesnt seem to have an alarm system, and the doors dont lock our unlock when you start driving or take key out of ignition.

thankyou

Knix
