Extreme Dimensions needs YOUR car!!

Hey Everyone,

My name is Geoff. I am the Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator with Extreme Dimensions. We are in need of cars for prototyping. Let me explain the process a bit first:

When we get your car, I personally do a thorough inspection of the vehicle and document any imperfections found. Any imperfections that are additional beyond what I find when you get the car back, we take care of for you. We also go over some more paperwork (that you get copies of) explaining what we are using your car for, and what you will get in exchange. We then take your car in for prototyping. Prototyping takes roughly 1-2 weeks to complete. After that stage is done, you take your car back.

***NOTE – You will NOT be getting the OEM pieces back that we use for prototyping. This is typically your front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts. If we decide to do a hood, trunk, wing, or fenders you will NOT get those back either. So, it is best if this car is NOT your daily driver.

Once we send the parts to our manufacturer, the turn around time to get parts back is roughly 3 months.

The cars that we are specifically looking for right now from ToyotaNation.com are:
86-89 Toyota Celica
96-00 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab
88-92 Toyota Corolla 4dr
07-up Toyota Camry
05-08 Toyota Tacoma
82-86 Toyota Supra
08-09 Lexus IS-F
02-06 Lexus ES Series
95-00 Lexus LS Series
01-06 Lexus LS Series

***This would be a fantastic opportunity, and kick off if you have dreams of getting your car into SEMA 2008 (Lexus IS-F)***

Please contact me directly for more details. My direct e-mail is:
GeoffreyB@extremedimensions.com

Thanks so much everyone!

Nice, but for the price of Cars at the U-Pull-it yards, why don't you invest and then sell the finished parts without all of the paperwork and use of other peoples property?

Thats a good though, but there are a few things that dont quite work when going that route.

1) Its best to work using the car so that spacing of the bumpers openings/vents are proportional to the car. We could do everything that we need to do off a car, but then it might look silly once put on a car.

2) Working on the car allows us to check for clearances.

3) Generally, the parts we have found in such places are damaged...we would prefer to work with undamaged parts so that we dont have to waste time fixing the problems on the parts first.

4) The parts that come from those types of places might be deformed as well. We use those parts directly to create our mold. If the parts are deformed then our parts will be deformed.

Trying to get interest for a subtle 5th gen, kit, probably just lips to add to an OE body, most likely wide body with an RC front if possible. If anyone here is interested in such a thing, post up.

Hi everyone, I have been watching this thread for a while and I have spoken with my product development team and they say if we can generate enough interest of a part then they will make it. So if you would like to see anything made please start an interest thread and contact me to let me know where the thread is on the forums so I can keep my eyes on it and chime in to help with the decision process. If you have any questions or need help starting an interest thread, please let me know and I will be more than glad to help out in any way possible.

Was told someone from Alltrac.net contacted you and linked you to our interest thread but got no response.

As far as I know, the link you provided was never brought to my attention. It is also a forum that we aren't on so I can not post on there. If you start an interest thread for specific products on here (without having too many posts that veer off topic) then it will be quicker to find parts that everyone would like to see made and get the ideas to my product development team for review and possible production. Just let me know if you have any questions.

Here's a screen print of the PM I sent you on 5/2 with the link

And the problem with an interest thread here, is there are not as many members of the 5th generation Celica community over here, as there are over there, and there is already a 30+ page interest thread on having a body kit created for the car with ideas, cad models etc.

I'm thinking it'd be a lot easier for you to register at one more forum than it would be to try and get all those people to register here and be active.

Anyways, I'm just trying to point the direction as I'm in no posistion to lead an interest thread at this time, however a member of the ATC did say he attempted to contact you and got no response, so you could look him up over there and get a dialogue started.

If this is too much work, I understand and I'm sure the ATC will keep looking for other options.
